Recruitment, the Radical HR way

A recruitment agency? Sort of. Radically different.

We do real, end-to-end recruitment - and we do it values-first. People who love the job, fit the team, and stay. Not just the best CV in the pile.

Recruitment is where Radical HR began.

We’ve delivered placement at volume across New Zealand - white-collar and blue-collar, boardroom to paddock - through a managed, end-to-end pipeline. This is proven, delivered work, not advisory from the sidelines. And it’s why we’re blunt about it: almost every HR and people problem starts with poor recruitment. Hire for the wrong reasons and you pay for it for years.

How we recruit

Five moves. No CV lottery.

01

A role definition, not a job description

Most job ads are a job description in a party hat. We define the role by the outcomes it must deliver - two very different things - so the right person can see themselves in it.

02

Open, creative applications

We leave “what to send” deliberately open. We get videos, pitch decks, and the kind of insightful, creative applications you never get from a CV pile.

03

We go looking

The best person is often not job-hunting. We source directly - people quietly off the market, with the transferable skills and values fit you’re really after.

04

Structured, human interviews

A structured conversation, not an interrogation. The candidate tells their story; the design surfaces how they actually think, lead, and behave under pressure - values and strengths first.

05

References that matter, then a Humans First welcome

Proper, in-depth reference checks. Then onboarding that starts before day one - because hiring doesn’t end at the offer, it ends when the person belongs.

How we charge

A fee when the hire happens.

Placement work is success-based - a placement fee when the right person signs, not a retainer for trying. Attraction and employer-brand work is quoted per engagement, plain-language letter and all. Either way, you know the deal before we start.

Recruitment sits inside our Attract pillar - if the deeper problem is employer brand, candidate experience or how the role is designed, we’ll say so and fix that first.

Recruitment

Let’s find people who love the job.

Tell us about the role and the team it joins. We’ll be straight with you about the best way to fill it - and honest if we’re not the right fit.
